Each year, ERG takes the money typically spent on holiday cards and postage and donates it to a worthy charity on behalf of all its employees and partners. In the past, we have made sizable donations to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and Hurricane Maria Relief funds, to provide a couple of examples.
This year, we will be donating these funds to The National ALS Association for further research at http://www.alsa.org/donate in memory of Alison Shamblen (CPMI) and Dr. Frederick Schaerf (NPRC). We lost both ERG family members to AS in a 14 month period and so this was a unanimous decision internally.
We know you too are working diligently to find treatments and/or cures for ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and so many other CNS disorders and applaud you for your dedication to the field of research. ERG is exploring the possibility of conducting clinical trials in ALS in 2019, expanding our work in neurodegeneration, but want to ensure we have all the proper resources in place across our neurology sites. Hopefully, we will embark on our first ALS trial very soon.
On behalf of our entire team at ERG, I want to wish you all a very happy, healthy and hopefully, relaxing holiday season!
We look forward to collaborating with you in 2019!
Best wishes,
